Establish a Charitable Giving Fund

You may want to establish a Charitable Giving Fund (CGF) which acts as an investment vehicle that offers the benefits of a private charitable foundation without the high costs and administrative burdens.

This is available at Raymond James through the Raymond James Canada Foundation which is a private foundation established in 2012 to facilitate and nurture the work of Raymond James.

We will work together to build a customized giving plan that aligns with both your financial and philanthropic objectives. While we take care of the administrative, tax, and legal requirements, you can focus on the joy of giving.

You can establish a CGF with an initial irrevocable donation of $100,000 or more. As the donor, you will receive a tax receipt for the full value of your donation which can be used immediately or carried forward up to five years.

Our team will invest your donation in accordance to a comprehensive investment policy (IPS) and it will continue to grow, tax free.

At your recommendation, the Raymond James Canada Foundation will issue grants from the CGF to your favourite charities, either on a recurring or one-time basis. You can choose to receive recognition for your grants, or you can choose to remain completely anonymous.
